Like most George V series, this a very popular series to collect. In lower grade, all dates can be acquired at reasonable expense though the 1933 tends to start at around $100. Type set collectors seeking A state of a coin that shows no signs of circulationmint statemint state pieces would do well aiming for the 1916-M, 1925, 1934, 1935 and 1936 for good strikes at good value .
This series was struck at the London, Heaton, Sydney and Melbourne mints. From 1911 to 1915 the London mint struck shillings though in 1915 the Heaton mint assisted with examples displaying the 'H' A marking, usually a letter or dot that signifies which mint struck a particular coinmintmarkmintmark beneath the date. From 1916 to 1920 the Melbourne mint struck shillings bearing the A marking, usually a letter or dot that signifies which mint struck a particular coinmintmarkmintmark 'M' under the date and in 1921 the Sydney mint struck the shillings bearing a star above the date. From 1924 to 1926 the Melbourne mint in conjunction with the Sydney mint struck shilling and the rest of the series was struck solely by the Melbourne mint.
