1870 Full Sovereign

The last year of the Sydney mint series, the 1870 is one of the easier dates to acquire, especially in the upper grades though is often plagued by weaker obverse strikes. A total of 1,220,000 formed the mintage of the year with numerous hoards of the date found out of India making this a common choice for top-grade type set collectors.
