1864 Roman 1 in date Half Sovereign

First sighted in the Heyde Sale in 1974, with only one other example known, is the 1864 Sydney mint half sovereign featuring a Roman 'I' in the date, in place of the typical Arabic '1'. While scarcer than the 1858 half sovereign with the incorrect legend (Learn more about the 1858 SOVRR Half Sovereign), it hasn't received nearly the same attention and thus remains at a similar price range to the ordinary type for the date.
